wow. wow. WOW. there are no other words. did you go crazy working out the details?

The hardest part was trying to figure out how to make the lock out of a slim sheet of silver. It was a lot of fun to make though. The rest kinda took shape as I started to make it.

It's really well done and I'm not sure to be able to do the same but it would be so great if the key and the lock were specifically done for each other...It would be just perfect if only this key was able to open this ring :) but once again you did a great job.

Ars gratia artis.

I was thinking of doing that but it would have required a different design on the two pieces. I wanted to keep them somewhat small and simple too. I might do another piece that is bigger like maybe a bracelet to go with this ring and then I have the size to make the lock and the key more complicated.

I'm not usually a jewelry person, but I AM a gadget person. I love these.

Amazing.
Fabricating hinges, and moving parts from silver sheet is so hard.
I tried something similar, but failed more or less completely.

+10 points for making an incredibly cool, and technically impressive ring!

Thanks!!! =D It is kinda hard to make hinges and stuff that moves out of silver, Especially when they are small like on a ring. What was your project that you were talking about? Did you give up on it?
:iconjwiens:
I was trying to make a ring that hinged at the bottom, and then had a simple clasp closure on the top. But it was more than I could do, with a little more practice I think I may try it again some time.
